Thanks Brian!

Brian Setzer had some great things to say about his time working at Flowers in the new [Mix magazine->http://mixonline.com/recording/projects/audio_brian_setzers_lucky/]. “It's actually an old flower shop,” Setzer says. “It's a cool room. The guy [Ackerson] has a million guitars and a million amps, and it's fun to fool around with all that stuff: ‘Get that old Vox amp. Let me plug the Rickenbacker into that thing.' That's what happened there. Incendiary things like having a whole slew of guitars laying out sometimes makes a big difference.”

I've really enjoyed working with Brian, his band, his production team of Dave Darling and Jeff Peters, and tech Skip Gildersleeve over the last year. Totally class act all around! I hope to see them here again soon.

The mod in me of course loves seeing the undisputed modern King of Rockabilly guitar playing my Rick 360 and AC30! Genius. And the track totally rocks!

Show!

I'll be playing a few of the new "solo" album songs as part of the [Sussed-tacular->http://www.susstones.com/mainwp] event Tuesday, January 23rd at the Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater. The show is a three-year anninversary party for [Sussed!->http://susstones.com/sussed], the DJ night a few friends and I have been running at BLB. We're planning on doing a few songs with Sideways, too, and a lot of other friends are playing. Should be a blast!
